Hello! I'm Megan Taitano (Tai means No, Tano means Land) and have started Landless Craft about 2023 as a way to develop and sell the books I create.
I'm originally from the island of Guam and moved to Maine in 2013 where I attended and eventually graduated from MECA with a BFA in printmaking. After graduating I struggled to find the right balance between making art and making a living. During this time I'd continue to collect pretty bits of paper and fabric and would throw together a book just to get that comfort of making something. Over the years I've found I could combine my passions: sifting and searching through up-cycled material and art scraps, embroidery, and bookmaking. Recently I've taken a great interest in developing my own spine designs and embroidery.
This shop will have a very controlled selection of my inventory whereas my inventory at markets will be more varied (and probably odd) and will also include some of my whimsical and spooky prints.
